Needless to say we were disappointed and contacted Mr. Underwood. He said the week before someone had moved out of our building and left the main door open over the weekend which caused the air conditioning system to malfunction. He said he was not responsible for any damage and refused even a one month credit. On my suggestion, he said he would contact the renters in that building notifying them of a potential problem. It is difficult for me to believe the damage occurred over a weekend especially since no water entered the unit.

I had access to a climate controlled unit in Houston for over 10 years and there was never any damage.
Initially, we were pleased with the friendly manager, Jerry Underwood. We leased a 10x5 climate controlled unit at $49/month inside a one story building in April 2014. In June 2015, we visited the unit to move our items out. We found the wood items had mildewed along with some clothing. The clothing was not on the floor nor in plastic bags, and the unit was very far from full. The items made of wood were on the floor with plenty of air space surrounding them.
